TechDay #9 shifted gears from hardware to business software, hosting SAP, Zoho, and Tally at the elegant Vivanta by Taj in Panaji. The evening attracted a diverse crowd of 150+ attendees — not just IT professionals, but also business owners, accountants, and operations managers from across Goa.
SAP presented their Business One platform tailored for small and medium enterprises. Solutions Director Meghana Phadke demonstrated how a Goan manufacturing unit could go from manual spreadsheets to a fully integrated ERP system in under 8 weeks. She shared a compelling case study of a Goan pharmaceutical company that reduced order-to-cash cycles by 45% after SAP implementation.
Zoho stole the show with their comprehensive suite demo. Regional Head Deepak Shetty showcased how Zoho One — their all-in-one business suite with 45+ applications — could replace multiple disconnected tools. His live demo of Zoho Books, CRM, and Projects working seamlessly together resonated strongly with the startup founders in the audience.
Tally Solutions rounded out the evening with their TallyPrime platform. Being a household name in Indian business accounting, their presentation focused on the new connected features — GST compliance automation, multi-branch consolidation, and mobile access. Product Evangelist Kavita Desai showed how Tally has evolved far beyond basic accounting.
The post-presentation networking was one of the most active in TechDay history, with multiple attendees scheduling follow-up demos with all three vendors. GIBA announced that future TechDay editions would include a follow-up session specifically for companies that signed up during the event.
