The new year kicked off strong with TechDay #11 at the Marriott Convention Centre in Panaji. Dell, HP, and Lenovo — three of the world's leading hardware manufacturers — presented their latest server and cloud infrastructure offerings to an audience of 200+ CIOs, sysadmins, and IT decision-makers from across Goa.

Dell Technologies opened with a comprehensive walkthrough of their PowerEdge R760 rack servers and the Dell APEX cloud platform. Senior Solutions Architect Vikram Shenoy demonstrated how the PowerEdge lineup could be configured for hybrid-cloud deployments, with a special focus on cost optimization for mid-size IT firms. His breakdown of the Dell Financial Services leasing options for startups was particularly well-received.

HP Enterprise followed with their ProLiant DL380 Gen11 and GreenLake cloud services. Regional Director Neha Kulkarni highlighted HP's sustainability story — showing how their latest servers deliver 30% better energy efficiency compared to previous generations. For Goa's growing data center ecosystem, this was a compelling pitch.

Lenovo's presentation centered on their ThinkSystem SR650 V3 and TruScale infrastructure-as-a-service model. Product Manager Siddharth Pai demonstrated live workload migration across a hybrid setup, and shared case studies from similar-sized IT hubs in Pune and Chandigarh that have successfully adopted the TruScale model.

The event concluded with a roundtable discussion moderated by GIBA's Technical Advisory Chair, where all three vendors fielded questions about right-sizing infrastructure for Goa's unique mix of startups and established IT companies. The consensus was clear: hybrid cloud is no longer optional — it's essential.
